Love their food their service and atmosphere

Decent food, wet drinks and nice, but rather frazzled server. Nothing special or out of the way about their food but good prices and quick service.

The food is good.

The food here is great, the portions are more than generous and the service was excellent. A perfect spot!

Chinese sounded really good after not having it for so long dueing covid 19. This was the only Chinese restaurant that was open. We were expecting some amazing food. What we ended up getting was gross thick egg flour soup, watered down ketchup as dipping sauce for pork, and tiny containers for the rice. We paid $30. For two tiny things of rice, two regular size pork, and one cup of egg flour soup. We are not satisfied with how our food turned out.

We were seated asked if we wanted tea said yes. Waited. And waited. And waited. Another person brought menus and again asked if we would like tea. Yes please. And we waited and waited and waited.another person came by and asked if we wanted tea. And we said yes. And we waited... And waited. Then another came and said if we were ready she could take our order and did we want tea. My friend and I got up and left.

Best Chinese in town. Hands down.

Not impressed. Egg flower soup should not have canned peas and frozen peas together in it. Egg roll was good. Don't get pork spare ribs entree either.

The food was good & the service was slow but great. The really nice lady that was taking our order was working her butt off.

Sad to say but the food was terrible. We ordered Shrimp and they were inedible, chewy and greasy and old with no flavor. The sweet and sour pork ribs were good but not hot. If this was an off day, it was really off. I paid for one of our two meals and feel like I still overpaid. Service was non-existent. We had out bill before any food and were never checked on to see if everything was okay. Then while attempting to eat, the server brought take away boxes that we didn't ask for and never asked about how we enjoying our experience. I will never return and for those that have had a good experience, I don't know what to say. Two big thumbs down

Sesame chicken is on point!!! Great, unique flavor!!! Egg rolls are huge!!! Best I have ever had!!!!

Everyone of my family is not only dissatisfied but 3 of the 5 of us are sick from the food and the 5th one even has what looks like green meat discoloration I now have the glorious task of watching my family be ill tonight with most likely food poisoning. Horrified is all I have to respond with completely Horrified!Nothing better than a picture that says all it has to.

My girlfriend and I stopped by here on a whim during spring break 2015. This was an excellent choice. I can honestly say (at that time) it was my favorite Chinese restaurant. A+++ Food and A++ Service! Thank you so much! (Sorry it took so long to post a review)

The food has gone downhill so bad. I was looking for vegetable dishes tonight. They said sorry, we only serve pea pods, carrots, celery onions. Some broccoli. It was not fresh. Twice i ask for hot tea. It was cold. Oh sorry...the food has really went up in price and down in quality. I will not go back.

Great food & service. Will be our go to place when we want Chinese food. Perfectly cooked veges. Excellent flavors in all our dishes. It is not easily seen from the main hwy. Close to the post office.

So me and my family got a order from this restaurant with in less then 30 minutes of eating a few bites of this food 3 of us were sick upon further inspection of the food we found the beef was green as you see from the pictures below when asking for a refund for this UN-eddible they offered a store credit and of less then 40% of the total and stated its not there fault beef prices are high and that they should not be held accountable for he affects the food had on us ... i strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs.

Awesome place great food calm relaxing environment definitely a go to Chinese restaurant

I gave this place a chance, the crab puffs were the only good thing about the dinner. The main course wasn't very good, my husband and I ate the rice and that was it, the kids were not thrilled with there burgers and it's all way over priced. Literally sent full plates back and spent 60. We will not be back

Fantastic food served by an efficient and friendly staff. Highly recommend this place. The Egg Rolls and Beef Cantonese are a couple favorites....but everything is expertly prepared.

This place has good food and nice service. Never have to to wait too long for food. They also have a banquet room and bar.

It is your average Americanized Chinese food that Oregon is known for. These established are supported by their bars and alcohol sales as a rule. Cheap drinks with heavy pours make any food more palatable for some folks. I find the food here better than most places that are comparable. They do have the best teriyaki chicken that I have ever had...the Chinese being known for their teriyaki dishes (wink). Service is always attentive and the staff are friendly. Lots of seating.

Decent price for the order I made. Idk what is wrong with teriyaki chicken but chicken was extremely hard and inedible. The Mongolian beef is good. The crab puffs. Now those were disappointment. I love those as do my family. This I'm 99 percent sure was the fake crab and was gross. Overall the value was ok. We are from seattle on vacation wanted chinese. I wont go again

Great food and service!!

If you're in the area and looking for delicious food, this is the place to go. Hands down the best asian food we've had in a very long time.

Food is great, promptly served hot and favorable. With that being said, I'm not into tea and $3.25 for a rootbeer kinda stung.

This restaurant used to be my go to place for Chinese food. Will not be going here anymore. I am unsure if it is due to the change of owners but the last few times I have ordered from Gold Star. They have completed messed up the order. Either missing items, not receiving the correct item, and the food quality has gone down. Finally, when you try to talk to front desk, they argue and tell you you're wrong and it was never on the order. But you can clearly see it written down on the order.

Pretty standard American Chinese restaurant. Canton style Chinese food. Really good food, usually great service. They have a bar with lotto separate from the restaurant. Best Chinese restaurant in Astoria!
